Summary

At the Autobots' underwater Ocean City command hub, Optimus Prime frets as he watches news reports of a recent Omnicon mission that almost destroyed a human city -- and panicked the residents in the process. He pressures Hot Shot to get them organized for their next mission, installing a planetary shield at a remote site in the Yukon...

At the Yukon base site, Ironhide and Kicker are awaiting the arrival of the shield components when Hot Shot and the Omnicons arrive -- and promptly thrash the place with their reckless behavior! Snapping in anger, Hot Shot yells for the Omnicons to get lost, which they do -- requiring Hot Shot and Kicker to go bring them back.

Meanwhile, the Omnicons have followed some strange energy readings to an abandoned town. As Strongarm and Signasl Flare grouse in boredom, hidden energy emitters pop up; Skyblast immediately attacks, but the backlash incapacitates all of the Omnicons ... leaving them ripe for the Decepticon Snow Cat!

The Omnicons soon awaken as Snow Cat reports their capture to Scorponok. They can't respond, however -- Snow Cat has hooked them to spark rewriters, which are slowly altering their personalities even as it drains their energon. Unknown to him, the Omnicons are communicating with each other on shared mental link, where they are joined by a vision of their creator, Over-run. Over-run chides them for their overconfidence, reminds them of his lessons in cooperation, then challenges them to find a way out...

A few minutes later, Snow Cat is outside cleaning up debris when the Omnicons burst out of hiding, prompting him to immediately retreat into the snowy wilderness. Skyblast wants to give chase, but Signal Flare reminds him that they're in Snow Cat's element, and will need teamwork to overcome his advantage.

The Omnicons are soon blinded by the snow and wind, allowing Snow Cat to easily strafe by and inflict some damage. But as he prepares to attack again, Strongarm, Signal Flare, and Arcee are casually waiting for him. Signal Flare calmly explains to Snow Cat that there's a seam of energon lying directly beneath a pocket of natural gas just sixty meters underground -- then detonates it under Snow Cat's wheels! Before the Decepticon can recover, Skyblast grabs him into the sky, then unceremoniously drops him in front of Hot Shot and Kicker.

Eight days later, Optimus Prime prepares to step through the Space Bridge, en route to Cybertron to recruit more Autobots for Earth duty. But instead of Cybertron, he arrives inside Unicron itself -- as a captive of Megatron!
