Summary

  At Cyber-City's Outer Spiral Energon Ore Processing Plant Delta-Five, Demolisher is the lone mechanoid who has to investigate why everything's malfunctioning. Finding nothing, he is suddenly ambushed bfrom behind...!

  Meanwhile, despite the efforts of the Autobots, Earth's major cities continue to be under bombardment from the Terrorcons, who have overwhelming numbers on their side. In Los Angeles, Rad drags Alexis into his armored all-terrain vehicle, smashes through a crowd of Terrorcons, then drives them via the L.A. riverbed to Alterenergy's west coast plant -- where Carlos is busy preparing a jet plane called "Eva" for Rad's use.

  In the Yukons of Canada, Ironhide, Overload, and Dropshot are fretting -- they've lost contact with the base unit that was en route to Earth. While Dropshot notes that their sensors should detect the base anyway, Ironhide worries about the consequences if it crash-lands on a human settlement instead. But unknown to the Autobots, Scorponok is merrily riding along with the base unit...

  While Megatron's disembodied spark waits, Optimus Prime struggles against his attack from Unicron's internal defenses. With a surge of effort, Prime manages to break free, then -- despite his better judgement -- removes the neural synapse needed to set Megatron free.

  On the shores of the Black Sea, Slugslinger and Mirage have just finished pounding the Omnicons into submission. As Mirage taunts them, Sharkticon comes ashore -- but suddenly keels over, as Kicker blasts him from within! Empowered by he Energon well beneath him, Kicker is armored up and ready for Round Two...

  On Cybertron, Councellor Avalon and Alpha Quintesson confer. Avalon is cautious, wanting to wait until they've secured The Conduit before initiating "the inversion," and notes that only blind chance prevented them from being victorious before. Alpha Quintesson chides him for being overly cautious, tired of his forced servitude, and wholly confident that nothing can go wrong this time...

  In the Canadian city of Toronto, Hot Shot's team is fending off both the Terrorcons' assault and Beachcomber's bad puns, with mixed results. As Rodimus and Red Alert spread out, a dimensional gate opens above the city -- heralding the arrival of Megatron!

  Finally, back on Cybertron, a ghostly being gloats over Demolishor's fallen body... a form that coalesces into the form of Starscream!
