Summary

  Cable and Caliban fight OZT soldiers in the mansion. Cable has Caliban trigger giant, spiked balls from the Danger Room, and in the confusion, they escape to the Morlock access tunnel beneath the mansion. Cable sends Caliban off, since he is still ill (see X-Force 65-66), and goes back to retrieve Xavier's computer files. He seals the tunnel with an explosion, then one by one takes out the soldiers guarding the computer. He sees that Bastion has had time to download the Cerebro files, but the security systems encrypted the rest into Shi'ar: Mutant Underground, Danger Room, Xavier Protocols. Cable loads them onto disk and destroys the computer. He realizes that Bastion could already have sent people after his family, and, with considerable strain, telepathically asks a reluctant Nate Grey to protect the rest of the Grey family (see X-Man 30).

  He has been too slow: Bastion catches him in the computer room before he can escape. He has his men blow down the door, but then enters alone, addresses Cable by his real name, and says they must talk.
