Summary

  Cable awakens in the interdimensional Maximum Secret and is greeted by the resident chronologists, who are annoyed at his frequent time travel. They also have the insane Sanctity (iss. 42), about to execute her for her crimes against time. Jacob challenges Cable for her life, a mechanized battle of wills, which Cable wins.

  Irene talks to Stacey, wondering if Cable is dead, and takes her to Cable's base to meet Blaquesmith, just as Cable reappears. He remembers who the Twelve are (Rachel put it in his mind, iss. 65).

  At JFK airport, the crew of the Concorde has been killed. In Hell's Kitchen, Caesar (iss. 58) prepares to kill Cable.
