Summary
On their way back from Mexico, Xina reevaluates her opinion of Spider-Man. Miguel is unable to feel any better about himself as two SHIELD agents abduct him from the car in their Flyboy copter. They tell Miguel that his presence is requested by Tyler Stone at the White House, which has been taken over by Doom. Dana has come to Washington with Tyler, but she is attacked by a mystery guest. Back Downtown, Gabriel and Kasey learn of Doom's coup. They are attacked by two Fenris, and Kasey is amazed that Gabe does nothing to stop them. They are saved by SHIELD Watchdogs. Miguel comes face to face with President Doom, who is amused by Miguel's unfazed attitude. Doom explains that Tyler Stone is the new Corporate Minister, and Stone explains that he wants Miguel to take over the R & D division of Alchemax. Miguel goes off to think about it, and stops some SHIELD agents from roughing up a group of Spiderites. Doom intervenes, and offers the cult a permit for assembly and demonstration. He then extends an invitation to Spider-Man himself to be his Minister of Supernormal Affairs. Gabriel finally tells Kasey he is not Spider-Man, but Kasey is not convinced. Gabriel's annoyance with Spider-Man festers. Tyler Stone comes to his hotel room to be shot by the mystery guest--Conchata O'Hara!
