Summary

  Michael escapes from prison and from the clutches of the Alliance and immediately seeks heroin.

  X-Factor works out, and Bobby clowns around with Hank. Vera buys Hank new clothes, and Jean enrolls in Columbia U to get a BA in Psychology.

  Susan refuses to help her husband get high, calls X-Factor, and is attacked by the Alliance. X-Factor finds Michael and cleans him up. His mutant ability is to amplify the powers of other mutants, but heroin prevents this. He stays on heroin to avoid being a tool for evil mutants.

  X-Factor reveal themselves to Michael as mutants, actually aiding other mutants. The Alliance attacks, with Susan as a hostage, so Michael helps them defeat X-Factor.
