Summary
Jamie's death is reported on the news. Val screams, Pietro jokes. Lockjaw ports the team to the crime scene, where they finds a dead Jamie and a live one. He is beside himself when he fails to reabsorb his dupe. He now realizes they may have their own thoughts and feelings and be real people.
Chalker sees them on TV and plans the destruction of all mutants (although, with a face like that, why should he complain about green hair?)
Lorna tries to get back together with Alex. Instead, they rescue a mother and child from a burning building, then they kiss, which makes Rahne jealous.
Val holds a press conference announcing the disbanding of Freedom Force and the establishment of X-Factor. Guido picks the codename Strong Guy, and Jamie is accused by a man in the crowd who claims to be him.
