Summary

  Sage read the diary; she has the X-Men don virtual reality glasses to show them her analysis. Destiny foresaw the attack on Genosha (X-Men II:115), Betsy's merger with Kwannon (X-Men II:22), and Yeats ("The Second Coming," 1922). They need the other diaries to put more pieces together, and Sage says they should get the four Xavier has. Rogue realizes Ororo knew Xavier was going to reveal he's a mutant (X-Men II:116) and is angry at them both for taking away their home. She values family, friends, and loyalty.

  Sage's network alerts them to a news item: Remy is wanted for the murder of crimelord Miles "Viceroy" Warbeck.

  Sydney: Lucas flashes fake Australian Federal ID, and local cops brief him on the case. Both they and crime gangs are chasing Remy. Rogue, Ororo, and Neal fly in and see the mess the Sentinels made (X-Men II:114). Rogue wonders why Sage showed them an image of herself fighting Vargas.

  The X-Men investigate Warbeck's luxury flat, damaged with bullet holes and scorch marks. Rogue sees the safe blown open and realizes Remy wouldn't be that crude. Ororo admits to having been a thief and a goddess in the making. She looks at the room's energy patterns and finds an electric cable leading to a hidden safe containing pictures of two children. Lucas thinks Remy may be guilty, and Rogue, not a big fan of the police, flies off in a huff.

  Remy is in Sydney's Chinatown, where Gow plans to become the new Viceroy by killing Warbeck's kids. Rogue breaks the gender barrier and enters his restaurant; Remy is already there. Gow has thugs attack them, and one pushes a button that suppresses their powers. Rogue bleeds but then takes down her opponents; she and Remy duck behind the bar when gunfire starts. They find a hidden office and Gow, dead, with a joker in his back. Remy is being framed, and Red Lotus now attacks. Instinctively, Rogue kisses him; he is surprised, and she is also, at how nice it was. Still, he beats them both. Examiner stops him from killing them now.
