Down in the Bottoms

Summary

  Forge and Jubilee dives underwater to where the Stealth Bomber had sunk to look for Wolverine. All they found was a missing ejection seat and Albert, who looked to be deactivated. They were glad to at least now know that Logan must have been able to escape. Forge and Jubilee were picked up by the coast guard.

  Meanwhile, Elsie Dee and Logan had landed near an outlet to the storm drain. Logan was at this time unconscious, with no heart beat and no breathing (because his healing factor was working overtime right now). Elsie Dee couldn't do anything to resuscitate Logan, so she wandered off to find help, leaving Logan behind.

  Logan was having hallucinating dreams, thinking about in the past when Silver Fox had died, and how he would hunt down the man who had killed her. And as Elsie Dee wandered around, she didn't realize that she stepped on some mutant who was lying face down in the water. She was noticing how the alligators there were ripped by claws, and was commenting on how she thought only Albert and Logan had claws. Little did she know that whom she had stepped on was Sabretooth and that he had heard her say that Logan was somewhere in the tunnels too ike him.

  Elsewhere in the tunnels, the Morlocks were being flooded in, and Masque, the leader, was commanding two of his bigger guys to open certain relief valves, which just so happened, was where Logan and Sabretooth were. Logan had found Sabretooth, and he blamed him for killing Silver Fox. Sabretooth reveals that he is Logan's father, and they both begin to fight.

  Meanwhile, Elsie Dee runs right into Cable, who, too, was in the Morlock tunnels. Cable wonders why she is wandering alone in the tunnels, but soon discovers that she's an android. She takes him to go find Logan.

  As Logan and Sabretooth continues fighting, the next thing they know, the tunnel was being filled with a lot of water that was being diverted by the Morlocks. Both managed to crawl to a higher place, but the water continues to rise up to there. They couldn't get out either because the door was locked. But Sabretooth and Logan continues to fight up there. On the other side of the door was Cable and Elsie Dee. Elsie Dee was telling him to blow open the door with his. And back under water, Albert had just been reactivated.
