Summary

  Returning to Japan to see his adopted daughter Amiko, Wolverine discovers that she and her protector Yukio had been kidnapped, and he was ambushed by the ninjas known as the Hand. Logan escapes by breaking into the room next door and stealing the tenant's motorcycle. He makes his escape into the Yakuza Gamblin' Den where he seeks sanctuary as an outlaw. They were prepared to kill him, even though he says he was formally adopted into the Yashida clan, and he was requesting sanctuary according to the law of Yakuza. But the leader of this clan, Shirohana (aka Pale Flower) stops them, and says until his credentials are cleared up, they would declare a truce for now.

  Meanwhile, we discover that Yukio has indeed been captured by Akatora, while she is locked up in chains, Amiko is being entertained.

  Pale Flower offers Logan a meal, and as Logan eats, she reveals of how a Mr. Logan and an associate had killed a man named Dai-Kumo and his entire clan. His remaining daughter was forced to start from scratch in Tokyo...as the Pale Flower. She then reveals to Logan that his fish that he was eating was blowfish, and that she had no antidote for it. Logan pretends he's dying..then gets back up, and as a joke, asks "What's for Dessert?" At that moment, the entire room is jarred as an armored vehicle crashes through, attacking both the clan there and Logan.
