Summary

  Cable visits Westchester to check on his wounded father and say good-bye for a while.

  London, 1859: Apocalypse puts one of Essex's spies into a pod which will make him his Harbinger and keep him in stasis.

  London, present: Shaw tells Pierce that the Hellfire Club had once tried to work with Apocalypse (Further Adventures of Cyclops & Phoenix LS). He shows him the stasis pod, and Ch'vayre, who can open it (he wants to force Cable to confront Apocalypse).

  London, 1915: Union Jack wangles an invite to the Hellfire Club, is attacked, and overcomes Manners and stops him from opening the pod.

  Irene insists on going with Cable; Madelyn pops up to direct him to London, to stop Shaw before he accidentally destroys the place. He arrives just as the pod opens, and the Harbinger attacks all present, adapting to their every weapon, and exploding the place.

  Later, Cable finds that he robbed a Saville Row tailor, and from there is able to track his psi-signature. They talk: the Harbinger is unsure what to do. Apocalypse wanted him to cause destruction and chaos, but he thinks there may yet be hope for man. He goes off to judge for himself.

  Cable investigates the mansion and finds the Hellfire Club had indeed located Apocalypse.
