Summary
Cable wants Irene to document him, so others can learn from his experiences. He explains about the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club, and that Pierce is his and Irene's mutual enemy. Cable plans to stop his "Tomorrow Agenda" by infiltrating his family mansion in Boston.
Pierce is told that Cable is about to attack his base in Algeria, so he flies there. Cable had arranged this distraction through his loose organization of "Believers."
Cable easily breaks into the mansion and its computer, and he starts to interrogate Taft about the Tomorrow Agenda. He is interrupted by the mercenary Paladin, but has enough firepower to quickly overcome him and the rest of the Hellfire goons. Taft suicides rather than blab, and Cable nearly dies psi-scanning him. He learns that Pierce has information from the future and plans to find Apocalypse in Switzerland and harness his power. Cable plans to stop them.
