Summary
Blaquesmith has a nightmare of Apocalypse's victory over Cable and the X-Men. He has been captive since he was almost killed (iss. 32) and has resisted extraction of his knowledge about Cable. With his last strength, he reaches out mentally to send a message to Cable's safehouse.
In Chicago, Blockade gets an e-mail hiring him. He preps in Sanders' apartment in New York, then goes after a "mutie chick."
Cable arrives in New York, grabs a bite in Hells Kitchen, and meets a chatty waitress named Stacey. Irene enters, furious he didn't contact her; she tells him she saw Blaquesmith (last iss.), and he runs off again to find him. Instead, he finds Domino. She walks away, choosing to find her own fate, and runs smack into Blockade.
