Summary

  Note: the story starts in X-Man 45-46 and concludes in 47.

  In Babel's diner in Hell's Kitchen, Stacey feeds a homeless woman. Cable walks in out of the rain and tells her he's a mutant. On his way out, he bumps into a homeless man who, for a moment, looks like Stryfe (dead since X-Force 18).

  Jameson offers Irene her dream job at the Bugle.

  Cable returns to his base, where Blaquesmith hands him his psimitar and tells him Stryfe is back and in Latveria. Cable meets Maddie there, and they enter the chambers beneath Doom's castle, fighting their way through the robot defenders.

  In Tramahoi, Blaquesmith talks with Ness about Nate.

  Cable attacks Stryfe and frees Nate, who is too weak to help. Stryfe fells them both.
