Summary

  Two crewmen try to steal the Sapphire of the Sphinx from a ship in San Francisco Bay, but find a large cocoon, instead. Caliban breaks out, bigger and badder, and under Apocalypse's control.

  Ozymandias and Blaquesmith are in contact, both wanting to stop Apocalypse.

  A boy, Tommy, befriends Caliban, even defending him from his frightened father and getting hit by a truck for his efforts.

  Cable is in town, saying goodbye to X-Force before his final confrontation with Apocalypse. They tell him about Feral and Siryn (X-Force 90); he blames himself. He gives them a list of his safe-houses, in case he is killed.

  Caliban crashes in, announcing that he is Pestilence, the first Horseman of Apocalypse, and he attacks Cable.
