Victor, Viktoria

Summary

Hoyle just shot Cable in the head; TK repels the bullet into the ceiling. Hoyle shoots again; Cable levitates, unconscious, and pushes Hoyle out the window, and half the building with him. Cable wakes and leaves with Viktoria, saying he needs an aspirin.

Goldberg, borrowing Winchester's desk, summons Samir to the U.S. base, says the Serbs have a virus that will kill Albanians, and lets him see the files.

Yacoupi determines the clones are doomed to synaptic disintegration.

Cable and Viktoria go to an American fast food chain. He says Goldberg was a U.S. agent who went rogue and destabilizes governments so his partners can make money rebuilding economies.

Gani finds his sister watching Koce clones play soccer. The clones start fighting, and Gani realizes the madness had begun.

Cable goes to a library and tracks down a fake radioactive waste dump in the mountains: the secret cloning lab.

Popov has his men pick up Hoyle's crushed body and gets a call from Goldberg.

Cvetkovski gets fired, gets a call on his cell, and gets a bullet in the head, arranged by Samir.

Zlatko watches porn, so Cable kicks and punches him and steals his car.

Ana, the sole clone of Sofia, remembers the rape (iss. 101) and hates her brother for killing her and then bringing her back. She wonders if her hatred is part of the synaptic disintegration.

Cable and Viktoria climb the mountains, circumspectly approaching the base. Cable's eye can still see infrared, and he walks through rock: a hologram. Viktoria insists on going with him.
